  Pasquale Scutari Jr., DDS

  Oral Surgeon

  Pasquale Scutari, Jr., DDS is a Syracuse native practicing locally for the last 26 years. Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he has extensive training and experience in all aspects of oral surgery including jaw surgery, reconstructive surgery, dental implants, pediatric oral surgery and anesthesia. He is the past president of the Onondaga County Dental Society, President of the Study Group for Dentofacial Abnormalities, member of many local study clubs, Chief of the Dental Service at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse and an attending training dental residents at St. Joseph’s and Upstate Hospitals. ​​​​​​​

  Andre Cardoso, DMD, MD

  Oral Surgeon

  Andre Cardoso, DMD, MD is a partner in the group. Dr. Cardoso is involved with several area study groups and is a member of many professional organizations. He is on active staff at St. Joseph’s, Crouse Irving, Upstate University, Community General and Oneida Hospitals. He is also an instructor for the General Dental Residents at St. Joseph’s and Upstate Hospitals. Dr. Cardoso is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His areas of clinical interest are major bone grafting, reconstructive surgery, pathology, orthognathic surgery and dental implants. When not in the office Dr. Cardoso enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors and following Syracuse University sports.

• Danielle Cunningham, DDS

  Oral Surgeon

  Danielle Cunningham, DDS is a partner of the practice. Dr. Cunningham is involved with several area study groups and is a member of many professional organizations. She is on active staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Upstate University Dental Department and is also an instructor for the General Dental Residents at those facilities. Her clinical interests include pathology, bone grafting and reconstruction. Outside of the office Dr. Cunningham enjoys triathlons and playing volleyball.

• Candace Scruggs, DDS

  Oral Surgeon

  Dr. Candace Scruggs grew up in Massena, NY, and spent many years shadowing her father, Dr. Carl R. Scruggs, who is a general dentist. This ignited her passion for dental medicine. She returned to her upstate NY roots and has been practicing in Auburn, NY for the past 9 years. Dr. Scruggs joined Syracuse Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in June 2020 and is excited to continue providing excellent care for her patients. Dr. Scruggs is trained in full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery including dentoalveolar surgery, pathology, implants, bone-grafting procedures, anesthesia, and facial trauma. She is an active member of many professional organizations. Dr. Scruggs is also a member of the medical staff at Auburn Community Hospital. She is married to Dr. Jon Ohnezeit who is a general dentist in Auburn, NY. Together they have two children, Grace and George. Dr. Scruggs enjoys spending time with her family, playing soccer, cooking, and traveling.

  Sidney L. Bourgeois, Jr., D.D.S.

  Oral Surgeon

  In June 1996, Dr. Bourgeois reported to Naval Dental Center San Diego, California for duty as Division Officer, General Dentistry Department. He then took responsibility as Branch Director, Branch Dental Clinics Fleet Industrial Supply Center San Diego, Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, California, and Naval Air Facility El Centro, California. Dr. Bourgeois was selected for Federal Training Out Service and entered the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio, Texas in July 1998. Based on his performance during his initial three years, he was selected as the service’s Administrative Chief Resident in his final year in the program.

• Joseph F. Finelli Jr., DDS (Retired)

  Oral Surgeon

  Joseph Finelli Jr has been practicing locally for the last 36 years and joined Syracuse Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2020. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is on staff at multiple local hospitals, as well as a clinical instructor at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He is a member of the Onondaga County Dental Society, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, and other professional organizations.
